Highland Park’s volleyball program has had great success over the years. They qualified for the State Championship game twice in the past, most recently 17 years ago.
2025 will be a year to remember for head Coach Michael Dearman, not only did they make it to the Championship game but they swept their opponent A&M Consolidated 25-18, 25-22 25-17 to become the Class 5A Division I State Champions at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.
The Lady Scots showed their depth with the MVP being sophomore Sarah Floyd who had 14 kills. Allie had 11 kills and nine digs. Between Gigi Whann(Arizona signee) and Anna Lee recording 18 and 11 digs respectively, Anna Lee also had 38 assists. Brooklyn Bailey, showed why she is aMemphis signee, singularly defending at the net. Bailey had nine kills at the net and Taylor Toomay also had nine kills at the net.
The Lady Scots swept all of their playoff opponents and closed their championship season with a 21 match winning streak.
