Scots Leave Lewisville in Their Wake

Highland Park Hands Lewisville a Loss for the Second Year in a Row

No one gave Highland Park the credit they deserved heading into their home season opener against Lewisville. Coming into the matchup the Farmers were stacked with D1 commits, the Scots however were more than ready for the matchup. For the second week in a row quarterback Warren Peck lead the Scots to a win. The Scots accumulated 225 yard on offense.

Lewisville scored first with a field goal kick by Eric Arias, the Scots took over after that. First with a short scamper by Warren Peck into the endzone and then a pass to Charlie Schneider. Lewisville came back with a 25 yard touchdown run by Viron Ellson. The Scots answered with a dramatic sideline run and dramatic dive into the endzone by Scot’s Keller Holmes. Leading receiver Tobin Steele kept the Scots moving in the right direction all night, picking up 126 yards for the night. The Scots never relinquished their lead, Lewisville scored an additional touchdown and used a toss over the top into the endzone for a two point conversion. Final score 21-18 Scots win when no one gave them the respect they deserved but they have earned it now.

Next Friday the Scots will head to Lake Highlands to take on the Wildcats.
