Scots Lacrosse Heads to State

Scots dominate Southlake in High School Lacrosse League Semi Final game at Highlander.

Scots got on the board early in the first quarter, Southlake tied things up 1-1. Highland Park’s Paxton Smith dominated the second quarter scoring three consecutive goals putting the Scots up 4-1. Southlake scored another goal making the score 4-2 Highland Park at halftime.

Harris Sands hit a goal in the beginning of the third quarter, with Duncan Zielke scoring right after him. Parker Addison back from an injury scored back to back goals putting the Scots up 7-2.

Harris Sands scored for the Scots making it 8-2. The Southlake goalie, Jackson Taylor did an amazing job blocking a shot from Parker Addison at close range. However Parker slipped a shot past Southlake’s Taylor with 1:15 seconds left in the 3rd quarter putting the Scots in a comfortable 9-2 lead going into the 4th quarter.

Southlake scored at 10:54 in the 4th quarter, Scots still led 9-3. Scots put Jack Morse was in goal for the 4th quarter. Scots Carter Sutton found the goal, the Southlake scored with 7:40 left in the game, making the score Scots 10-4.

The Scots ended the game 10-4 which moves them to the Semi Finals next week at Magnolia High School. The Scots with have a rematch with ESD next Saturday for a chance to play in the State Championship game next Sunday.
