Scots defeat Joshua 34-10

Buck Randall, of Highland Park, runs through the middle of Joshua's defense for a Scots touchdown. Scots went on to defeat Joshua 34-10.

Highland Park traveled southwest to Joshua High School.  Joshua favors a running game which was very evident in the first quarter. Joshua ran most plays up the middle without success. Scots Sutton Stock hit a 28 yard field goal to put the Scots ahead 3-0.  

Buck Randall and his offense went to work in the second quarter, throwing touchdown passes to Matthew White and Harrison Cullum. Randall made an eight yard run for a touchdown; Scots went for two to make up for a missed extra point attempt on an earlier score.  Jack Swaldi caught the pass in the corner of the endzone giving the Scots a 24-3 lead at halftime.The Scots came out for the second half relaxed scoring another touchdown as Buck Randall ran for six yards and Sutton Stock hit a 29 yard field goal. Crews Messer came in at quarterback for most of the fourth quarter.  

Joshua wrapped up scoring after a Scots turnover gave Joshua the ball and they took advantage scoring a touchdown and extra point but it wasn’t enough as the Scots take the win with a 34-10 score over Joshua.The Scots defense force multiple fumbles, one picked up by Beckett Curtis and another by Graham Rogers. 

Next week will be exciting an exciting Homecoming game with the Queen being crowned at halftime of the game against Cleburne. The game has been moved to Thursday due to impending weather on Friday.
