While most of the Park Cities community was getting ready for Spring Break, the Scots Baseball program was hosting teams at Scotland Yard. The Scots Varsity team took on teams from Lovejoy, Midland, Round Rock and El Paso.
The Scots handled Lovejoy coached by former Scot baseball player Ryan Gros, despite constant rain, winning 5-2. Their game against Round Rock on Thursday resulted in a tie of 2-2 with multiple lightning delays ending the game. Friday’s games and Saturday’s game gave the Scots a chance to try different players out at different spots. The tournament wasn’t about wins and losses as much as it was about testing the Scots who are dealing with multiple injuries and determining how to fill those voids.
