Hot Off the Presses
As most people know this is a realignment year for the UIL. Earlier this year Athletic directors and coaches met to hear what district their teams would compete in for the next two years. Surprisingly Highland Park was placed in a district with teams from Tyler, Lukfin, Joshua, Cleburne, Midlothian and Burleson. Lufkin was not happy, the district would require traveling a minimum of three hours by car weekly, some teams would have been more of a four hour drive. Lukfin appealed their placement and has been moved out of Highland Park’s district. A few changes had to be made to the tentative schedule but it has been finalized and we have it here.
