Lonnie Jordan Hired as New AD

Second Athletic Director Hire for Highland Park in two years

The vacancy of Athletic Director from Rodney Webb’s speedy departure and return to coaching has been filled by the hiring of Lonnie Jordan. Jordan comes most recently from Richardson ISD where he served as head football coach for Lake Highlands since 2015. Previous to being named head football coach at Lake Highlands, Jordan was their offensive coordinator from 2007 until 2010. During the in between years of 2010 to 2014 he served as the offensive coordinator and assistant football coach at McKinney High. He served the 2014 football season as 3A Lone Oaks’ head football coach.

A Fort Worth native, Jordan graduated from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas. When asked Lonnie Jordan seems to be taking the transition from coaching to administration in stride. Of course once a coach, always a coach so expect to see Highland Park’s newest Athletic director on the sidelines this fall with a serious attention to the game on the field.
