Scots defeat MacArthur with a convincing 12-1 victory in six innings
Highland Park Scots, lead by pitcher Max Stammel, defeated Irving MacArthur 12-1. With the run rule in place the Scots posted a 12-1 victory in just six innings, the seventh inning was not needed. Trailing 0-1 senior Jack Wall got the Scots their first hit of the game at the start of the third inning. It proved to be contagious as the Scots scored 7 runs total in the bottom of the third inning. The fourth inning was dominated again by the Scots with four more runs. The Scots final run came in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Scots will take on Richardson this weekend with a 7:30 pm game Friday night at Scotland Yard and a 1:30 pm game Saturday at Richardson.
