Two of the Highland Park Independent School district places were decided by the May 6th election. Place 6 had three candidates, Paul Calce, Blythe Koch and Alex Stein while there was only one candidate for Place 7, Pete Flowers. When all of the results were reported for Place 6, the clear winner was Blythe Koch, receiving 81.22% (3,032 votes)of the 3,733 votes cast. Paul Calce received 17.52% (654 votes) and Alex Stein 1.26% (47 votes). HPISD voter turnout was pretty light compared to most recent years, 2021 recorded votes by 8,337 and 2022 recorded 8,225 voters. Blythe Koch and Pete Flowers will be sworn in to office May 16th.
