July 4th parade

Park Cities Rotary hosts annual parade

Get your red, white and blue out for the annual 4th of July parade. For the 20th year the Park Cities Rotary will host the annual festivities. The parade will begin lining up at 7:30am at Euclid and Abbott. The actual parade will begin at 4700 Drexel at 9am and move throughout Highland Park west down Highland and make it’s way to Beverly and Preston where it will head north to University on it’s way to Goar park. The beauty of living in a small community is enjoying the amazing parade full of floats of Highland Park High School teams and organizations, bands, horses, small businesses, old fashion cars and of course part of the route families will join on bicycles. This year’s theme is Freedom to Serve. If you have any energy left as the parade wind down, head over to Goar Park for more fun, like bounce houses, yogurt, autographs from the football team.

This year’s grand marshall will be Jan Langbein, CEO of Genesis Dallas.
