The Bruins traveled from Little Rock, Arkansas, Thursday to prepare for their Friday matchup against the Scots.  The Scots were ready, knowing Pulaski almost always went for it on fourth down, and they kicked onside kicks; the Scots used that to their advantage.

Pulaski repeatedly gave the Scots great field position after failing to convert on fourth down. The onside kicks went the Scots way again, giving them great field position.

The Scots took the lead early with a short pass to Cannon Bozman. Bozman also closed out the Scots scoring in the first quarter with a gorgeous 71-yard pass as he ran into the endzone.  The Scots turned to senior kicker, Sutton Stock, for a 37-yard field goal.

Randall hit Harrison Cullum down the sideline for a 27-yard touchdown. Scots found themselves comfortably sitting at 24-6 at the end of the first quarter.

By halftime, Highland Park had extended their lead to 38-6. James Flowers plowed up the middle for 4 yards, scoring

his first varsity touchdown, and Harrison Cullum had his second touchdown pass of the night as he caught Randall’s pass deep in the corner of the endzone. The Bruins’ lone score in the first half came from a short pass to Aron Orgil and a failed two-point conversion. Scots continued to dominate in the second half after Pulaski scored a touchdown.

Buck Randall showed his foot skills as he ran up the middle to the endzone with Pulaski defenders trying to catch him.

Matthew White took a Buck Randall pass 28 yards for a touchdown; James Flowers got his second touchdown of the night as he was called for a 1 yard run into the endzone. The fourth quarter allowed the Scots to play a variety of players, putting fresh legs on the field in a number of positions.

As the final seconds clicked off the clock the Scots had their third win of the season, 58-26.

Next Friday the Scots will travel East to Tyler, Texas, to play Tyler High School at 7 p.m.
