Gridiron Club of Dallas Recognizes HP’s Adam Rourke

Highland Park’s standout defensive back and football team captain, Adam Rourke, was recognized along side other local high school football players by the Gridiron Club of Dallas chapter of the National Football Foundation. In addition to being recognized as a scholar athlete, Rourke received the Army’s Black Knight scholarship. The National Football Foundation recognizes scholar athletes at both the high school and the college level with their top college scholar athlete receiving the William V. Campbell award in December at their annual awards dinner which also presents the College Football Hall of Fame inductees. In addition to academics, community service plays heavily in the selection of their scholar athletes at both the high school and college level. Adam Rourke who also plays varsity baseball heads to Palo Alto in the fall to continue his football career at Stanford.
