Scots hold on to defeat Lovejoy 24-17.
Two High School coaching legends faced off at Highlander Stadium when Lovejoy travelled to Highland Park.
Coach Randy Allen and Coach Todd Dodge had their teams prepared for their matchup.
Scots Buck Randall found Cannon Bozman early with a 73 yard pass Bozman carried into the endzone putting the Scots on the board early. The Scots defense came up with some big stops despite Lovejoy’s impressive roster. Lovejoy took two interceptions the distance for two touchdowns, one in the first half to make it tied going into halftime.
Just when it looked like the Scots would easily get their first win at home the Leopards pushed back making their second pick six.
Scots defense came together with Amin Elahmadi appeared to cover up Lovejoys quarterback, Jacob Janecek but he got a pass off. Scots’ Beau Jones came down with it for the scots interception deep in their own territory.
When the final second ticked off the Scots had their second win of the season defeating Lovejoy 24-17.
