
A fan of all Highland Park Sports, Principal Jeremy Gilbert will take on Athletic Director role at the end of the School year.
Jeremy Gilbert, HPHS current principal will officially move his office out of the High school and into the Athletic Department as Athletic Director. Gilbert began in the Highland Park District as Principal of Hyer Elementary, then moved to Highland Park Middle School as Principal and finally the High School Principal. When asked about this new role, Jeremy Gilbert said, “I am so honored and incredibly humbled to serve in this new role, which will support students and families from all across our district,” said Gilbert. “In fact, I am already partnering with Coach Allen, Coach Bailey, and all of our amazing coaches at HPHS and HPMS to help create the very best experiences for our students in the years ahead.”
The High School will principal role will be filled by Dr. Kevin Hunt who has spent the last two years as principal of Highland Park Middle School. In response to his new role, Dr. Hunt responded with, “What an honor it is to be the next principal of Highland Park High School,” said Dr. Hunt. “I have so enjoyed my experience at the middle school and my time working alongside Principal Gilbert and Principal Reyes. The three of us are well aligned, and we are already working side-by-side to ensure a smooth transition heading into the 2024-2025 school year.”
The role of Middle School Principal will be filled by current Boone Elementary School Principal, Amanda Reyes. Reyes has been at Boone as Principal since 2019. “Ensuring all of our students are successful is why I come to Highland Park ISD each day,” said Reyes. “I am so fortunate to serve students from all across the district, and I am ecstatic to be a Raider.”
