Scots defeat Red Oak 32-14

In a game that was built up to be one Red Oak’s offense would challenge HP’s defense, Scots defenders show why they should be respected.
Scots rolled into Red Oak on a hot sunny night ready to play. The coaches had spent the week preparing their team after their loss to Cherry Creek the previous week. They built on the previous week, resulting in an unbeatable defense. Red Oak never saw it coming, Thomas Cook and Daniel Turner both forced safeties. Turner overs went HP’s way, Jack Morse picked up a fumble and Jonathan Boyanovsky turned a tipped pass into an interception to stop a Red Oak attempt to score. Amin Elahmadi was all over the Red Oak backfield.
The offense lead by Buck Randall took advantage of the turnovers. Randall found three different receivers for touchdown passes, Brandon Lilly, James Lancaster and Paxton Smith.
While the defense was shutting down Red Oak’s offense, Scots offense booked 349 total yards. Matthew White dove into the endzone for a Scots’ touchdown. Final score Scots 32-14 over Red Oak.
Next week Scots will be off, returning October 18th for their Homecoming game against Joshua, a known running offense. Let’s see what the Scots defense can do to shut them down.
