Gridlock in the University Park
Roads seem to be closed in every direction that you try to turn. Currently, the last section of parking in Snider Plaza is being worked on; hopefully, it will be finished by the time school starts up again.
Lovers Lane between Douglas and the Tollway is under construction. Currently, golf carts are shuttling people between public parking just north of the High school to area businesses along Lovers Lane. Douglas, just north of Lovers, is also closed.
According to the UPtexas.org Airline between University and Daniel will be closed daily, until July 18th.
The football lights at Highlander were replaced, but should be done by July 11th.
Streets are being resurfaced, including blocks of Amherst, Stanford, Hanover, Airline, Bryn Mawr, Southwestern, Greenbrier, Marquette, and Purdue.
With all this street work being done, patience is required to navigate through the neighborhood.
